"2012" done... vacation!!! :)
After all the months of really crazy working hours on "2012" I'm still enjoying vacation for over a month now and recover a bit each day. My fingers want to work on the next thing again but the rest is still a bit too tired... I'm at Vienna/Austria atm, playing around with my new 5D Mark II I see all this great architecture and wonder how fast it would go to build an environment like an entire street block just by using projections on low poly geometry... looks like I just can't stop thinking about 3D, it's crazy. I also hope I find the time to redo my rubbish old website, bring it up to date and open a kind of "goodies"-section where I want to offer some useless junk for free. Well let's see... I also have a very long to do list regarding high detailed helicopters (surprise eh?). So it looks like I'm back to the 3D world soon.

Cheers

Moved to Los Angeles
After working in NY (what a city, I love and miss it!) I was so foolish to feel happy to have at least a bit of vacation. But due to the great technology of telephones, plans have changed quickly, resulting into getting rid of my apartment in Germany and moving over to Los Angeles. Vacation.. well maybe next year
So here I am now, let's see what happens I have NO idea about LA except that when I go out the door and turn left, there must be the beach somewhere. Fortunately finding the office is easier, just straight ahead till Overland Ave and Culver Blvd cross each other. I definately need a map...

After two weeks...
... of living in Ney York I must say: WOW, what a city!!! So many impressions, so many different people, buildings, areas and for sure art Due to a friend who's living here for a while I was able to see many not-so-tourist-like things. The most weired thing for me as a German is seeing cars with running engines without anybody inside. I can't wait to visit the MoMA, Central Park (when the sun shines), financial district, Brooklyn... And damn, it's so expensive here, hehe... hmpf

Merry Christmas and a happy new Year!

Cheers from NYC

Packing stuff...
... for working in NY for a while. I´ve never lived in such a big city before so I´m very curious! At google maps I saw that there´s an old aircraft carrier with a real Blackbird on flight deck, a must-see for an aviation-geek like me

MAYAMAYAMAYA
After finishing my tasks on the last commercial I have some sparetime (who knows how long it´ll be!?) to recover. But it seems to be that I like to punish myself because I decided to learn MAYA a bit more! Haha, nerve destruction is preassigned But when I´m familiar with it, it´s a big plus for me.
So if you don´t hear anymore from me, call the ambulance!

Cheers
André
